The Bakersfield British Car Club (BBCC) is dedicated to the preservation and enjoyment of modern, classic, vintage, and antique British automobiles. Started in 1985 in Kern County, California in the heart of the San Joaquin Valley, the BBCC has enjoyed over thirty years of drives, rallies, picnics, tech sessions, and more.
The Bakersfield British Car Club (BBCC) meets on the 4th Thursday of every month. The meeting starts at 7:00PM (19:00h). The place is Lumberjacks Restaurant at 2573 Mt. Vernon Ave between 178 & Columbus.
Our club was founded as the MG Car Club of Bakersfield. Within a few months, the club was opened up to all British cars and the name was changed to the British Sports Car Club of Bakersfield. Over the following years, our name morphed into the current and more inclusive name, The Bakersfield British Car Club. We were the first known “All Mark British Car Club” in California. We were told that it would never work. You can’t mix MG’s and Triumphs, Austin Healy’s and Jaguars, Morris’ and Sunbeams, etc. Well, we proved them wrong and now most of the British car clubs in California are “All Mark Clubs”.
The BBCC has enjoyed almost thirty years of drives, rallies, picnics, tech sessions, and much more. To receive updates on club events, please “Like” us on our Facebook page. Web site http://bakersfieldbritish.blogspot.com
