The Kern County Cancer Fund helps pay for the treatment of local cancer patients who lack insurance or sufficient coverage to pay for their medical care. Program applicants are individually reviewed by a patient eligibility committee, which includes volunteer medial professionals, medial social workers and a medical financial counselor.
The Kern County Cancer Fund provides cancer treatment funding for patients in kKern County through collaborative partnership with local healthcare providers and generous supporters. Over the last 6 years, more than 600 patients have been assisted with the Fund and approximately $3 million dollars has been allocated. All of the funds raised will distributed on behalf of Kern County cancer patients and their families.
BCCC was asked by the Campout Against Cancer event to create a venue for classic and collectible vehicles to be on display during the Campout Against Cancer. We have named this event “Cruz’n for a Cure”. Vehicles were on display in the center of the grounds for all to enjoy and appreciate from morning to early afternoon. We had room for over 250 vehicles and nearly that amount attended.
Many non-club vehicles came out to support the Cruz’n for a Cure last year!
The layout was fantastic with our vehicles in the middle of everything. See map below.
The Relay for Life campsite layout surrounded the car area.
Kern County Air Kooled came out and supported the days event.
Vintage Limited Street Rods came out and spent the day with us in event support.
