Bakersfield British Car Club
The Bakersfield British Car Club (BBCC) is dedicated to the preservation and enjoyment of modern, classic, vintage, and antique British automobiles. Started in 1985 in Kern County, California in the heart of the southern San Joaquin Valley, our club is open to all British car enthusiasts whether you own a British car or not, running or not, stock or modified, old or new, all are welcome. You do not have to be a member to participate in club events and attend club meetings but membership does have its privileges. For $15.00 a year per family, you will receive our monthly newsletter, voting rights and invitations to tech sessions and our two yearly club paid events, our Christmas party and summer barbeque.
Our club was founded as the MG Car Club of Bakersfield. Within a few months, the club was opened up to all British cars and the name was changed to the British Sports Car Club of Bakersfield. Over the following years, our name morphed into the current and more inclusive name, The Bakersfield British Car Club. We were the first known "All Mark British Car Club" in California. We were told that it would never work. You can’t mix MG’s and Triumphs, Austin Healy’s and Jaguars, Morris’ and Sunbeams, etc. Well, we proved them wrong and now most of the British car clubs in California are “All Mark Clubs”.
The BBCC has enjoyed almost thirty years of drives, rallies, picnics, tech sessions, and much more. To receive updates on club events, please “Like” us on our Facebook page.
